Welcoming & Visitation Committee

The Welcoming and Visitation Committee plays a crucial role in the growth and vibrancy of IFC Church by embodying the heart of hospitality and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for newcomers. In 2021, our committee embraced this calling with enthusiasm, welcoming and providing follow-up care for an impressive 193 first-time visitors! We understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating, and our team goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels valued, seen, and cared for. We provide these individuals with the information they need to feel comfortable navigating IFC Church and connecting with our community.

Here are the core ways our ministry serves IFC Church:

  1. Warm Greetings and Assistance: We greet visitors at the door, answer questions, and help them find their way around our church.

  2. Connecting with Newcomers: We gather contact information and follow up with each guest after their visit, offering continued support, answering questions, and providing information about upcoming events or ministry opportunities that may be of interest to them.

  3. Building Relationships: We go beyond simply being welcoming; we aim to foster genuine connections and make visitors feel like part of the IFC Church family. This dedication to building relationships allows new guests to transition more comfortably into the IFC Church community, creating a lasting sense of belonging.

IFC Church values the unique contribution of each member and warmly welcomes individuals who share a passion for hospitality and extending God’s love to others. As our church grows, the need for dedicated members of our Welcoming and Visitation Committee also grows! If you enjoy connecting with people, have a heart for welcoming newcomers, and want to be part of helping visitors feel a sense of belonging at IFC Church, we invite you to join us!
