TODAY’S TOPIC: Jesus Christ the Joy to the World
REF: Luke 1:11-17; Philippians 3:12-14
❇ The story of the birth of Christ is the story of the world finally finding joy in the flesh.
❇Real joy is found in Jesus Christ, not in material things, fame or fortune.
❇ As Christians, we must know that the peace of the Lord is what gives us joy. So we must strive to live with the peace of the Lord in our hearts for total joy.
❇ The joy of the Lord is our strength.
❇ John the Baptist radiated the joy of the Lord, professing that Jesus Christ was the Way, the Truth and the Light.
❇ Christmas is the time we celebrate the coming of the Lord.
Key Message of Christmas includes:
- 1.Good News and Great Joy
❇ Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
❇ As Christians we must know that the joy of the Lord is able to sustain us as it is our strength.
- 2.Your Reward is Great.
✳ The story of the world meeting Jesus in the flesh is a story of the world finding their full joy in God.
✳ Blessed are you when you’re being persecuted because of Jesus Christ. As Christians, we must strive to walk holy with the Lord as He is just to always be our advocate and our defender when we’re being persecuted for His namesake.

Luke 6:22 Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject you as evil on account of the Son of Man! 23 Rejoice in that day, and jump for joy, because your reward is great in heaven. For their ancestors did the same things to the prophets.
❇ Always stand for the Lord and His Word no matter where you find yourself. Remember you’re in the world but not of the World. As a Christian, you’re an Ambassador of Jesus Christ, so let your life reflect His glory.

❇ Jesus is the reason for Christmas.
❇ The Baby born in a manger is the Joy to the world.
❇ Jesus was bruised for our transgression and by His stripes we are healed.
❇ He died and rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended and promises to return. We’re celebrating the second coming of the Lord.

He rules the World with truth and grace. When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you receive an unshakable J-O-Y! As Christians, we will live and rejoice in the Lord forever and ever.”
