As we come to the end of another year, one’s mind turns to a few things:

• Memories of the past year or years.
• What’s in store for next year?
• And (another) resolution !!!

It is said that many good plans die in the land of good intentions…so could be our memories and RESOLUTIONS…we are encouraged to end the year well.

There are many unfinished projects in our individual life and around us in our environment…nonetheless, in Jesus the CHRIST, there is no unfinished project.

Our calling is to live for Jesus until His return; called to finish well because we are to answer for the manners in which we live our lives.

Our profit (reward & crown) in living our lives for Jesus is imperishable…but it is for those who will finish well.

We may not win everything in this world, but in Jesus, we can all be winners of our individual responsibility (ies) of what we’re entrusted unto by Christ.

The race isn’t to the swift, it is for who all that will endure unto the end in Jesus the CHRIST !

As we enter in this new year, there are some specifics to be mindful of:

1. RE-EVALUATE everything you do for spiritual disciplines.
2. a) Ask yourself, “WHY do I do it THIS way?” Do I do it because I was told to do it, or because I have an honest desire to deepen my relationship with GOD?
   b) Ask yourself, “Why do I do it THIS way?” The way I pray, read through the Bible, do Bible study, etc.?
3. REARRANGE your patterns and habits in these areas.
   a) If I have prayed the same way for a number of years, try praying in a new way.
   b) If you have been reading the Bible in a certain fashion, look for other reading methods of the same Bible.
   c) If you have not memorized Scripture in a systematic fashion, start today!
4. RENEW your commitment to doing those things that truly expose you to more of GOD’s wisdom and love more and more.

Weights are not necessarily sins, but weigh us down nonetheless.

Those who go into this race go in without bearing their own baggage; they turn it over to JESUS and He handles it according to His power.

Don’t cross over to 2019 with your excess baggage…GIVE IT ALL TO JESUS…and enter light and ready.

The Lord is awaiting you at the door of your heart, allow HIM to take control and be the center of your RESOLUTION 2019.
